It's been an interesting year so far for us all here at FF.
We won best CD at the Golden Fiddle Awards for our latest album Frenzee in January.Check out www.goldenfiddleawards.org.au for all the details. At the same time we performed our Last Supperteers shows with Graeme Connors, what a blast!
Marcus, after playing with the WASO (in Feb), went to Europe for 6 weeks "without the agony box!" Watch out for a belated blog! Returning refreshed, he's been to NZ since with Scotland the Brave and is booked to play at the Lincoln Centre in New York next year! See www.scotlandthebrave.ca

Meanwhile, Clare and Mark spent a month in Paris, France (that is) with Andrew Richardson soaking up the sights and learning a stack of Django (Reinhardt) and Stephane (Grappelli) tunes. Mark is still in the UK at the moment, or Majorca.. or somewhere. Clare has returned and along with Marcus and Garry went to Malaysia in mid August with Warren Fahey for a tour with Musica Viva...we had a ball.

The Fiddlers Feast has received a glowing four-star (described as HOT STUFF) review of their new CD FRENZEE from critic John Shand in The Metro section of the Sydney Morning Herald on Friday (13/10/06). You can read the review at on our press page.<
John says "I defy anyone not to like this CD. This beats the socks off the Sydney band's previous releases on all levels."
The Fiddlers Feast was also featured in this October's CAPITAL NEWS. In a glowing article by Sue Jarvis, the group's recent CD release and tours to Japan and Brittany are hightlighted. Sue says "Frenzee is a superbly crafted, brilliantly performed and energy-packed album that captures everything that makes the Fiddlers Feast a special group".
